Can I Purchase Finance With ExpatRide?

Yes, with ExpatRide you can choose between lease and purchase financing. Most expats chooses the lease option, as this gives them lower monthly payments and usually fits their work visa lenght better, as the lease/finance cannot be longer than the work visa  is valid.

Can I Break My Lease Without Penalties?

Yes the ExpatRide car leasing/finance program is tailored specifically for expatriates, so we have considered the many reasons why an expat would need to break their lease due to work or family related situations that forces the expat to leave the country.

We work with an "Open Ended Equity Lease". This means that you own the equity in the vehicle, just like if the money was borrowed in a bank. You can say that our lease is a "bank loan" with a residual value.

If you wishes to break the lease for any reason, you are only liable for the difference between what the car can be sold for and  what is owed on the car. We will assist with selling the vehicle, and should the vehicle sell for more than what you owe on the car, then we will send you a check for the balance, as it is you who owns the equity in the vehicle and not the leasing company.

Getting A Driver’s License In The U.S.

Obtaining a U.S. driver’s license should be on top of your to-do-list when moving to the U.S. as it will be needed in many situations.

Because there is no national identity card in the United States, the driver’s license is often used as the de facto equivalent for completion of many common business and governmental transactions. It will also be more handy than carrying your passport around.

In the U.S., nearly all driver’s licenses are issued by individual states, rather than the federal government. Drivers are normally required to obtain a license from their state of residence, and all states recognize each other’s licenses for temporary visitors subject to normal age requirements. A state may also suspend an individual’s driving privilege within its borders for traffic violations.

4 cars

ExpatRide now offer expatriates in USA four different expat car financing andexpat car leasing options. The options make it easier for expats to choose the financing option which fits their assignment in the U.S. ExpatRide offers the broadest expat car program in the U.S. Expats moving to USA can now choose their new or used vehicle from any car dealership nationwide and combine it with the expat auto loan option best for them.

No other company offers as wide a range of vehicles, dealerships, pick-up and return locations and financing options. Expat customers do not need a U.S. credit score to be approved for any of the following new financing options offered to expats in the U.S.

The four financing options are:

  1. Open Ended Equity Lease program - Tailored for the expat
  2. The Closed End Lease
  3. Cash Purchase Program (Prepaid Lease)
  4. Traditional purchase finance (similar to a regular bank loan)

ExpatRide's expat car lease program is tailored to expatriates moving to the U.S. interested in car financing. "The expatriate car financing program solves the challenges that many expats experience daily in the U.S. when it comes to being approved for a car loan or car lease. Especially after 2008, it has been very difficult for foreign nationals to obtain credit," explains CEO & Founder of ExpatRide Jesper Lovendahl.
This "No U.S. Credit Score Program" takes into consideration the foreign individual's historic credit profile from former countries of residence. This is very different from other financial programs in the U.S. as they generally only give the person credit for their U.S. assets and credit history.
